Aid applications now available, U-M deadline moves to March 31 next year

The financial aid priority deadline for the 2019-2020 year will be earlier than in previous years. The new deadline is March 31, 2019 for receiving your FAFSA, PROFILE (for entering students) and any additional documents needed to review your application for aid. We recommend getting application documents to us by March 1 in order to meet the priority deadline.

U-M students: Do you need health insurance?

U-M offers a low-cost, comprehensive, voluntary health insurance plan for U-M students through Aetna Student Health. It is offered to protect students against financial hardship from unforeseen medical expenses not covered by the health service fee included with tuition. Deadline to purchase insurance for this academic year is Sept. 30, 2018.

Updated financial aid information offered via video this year

The Office of Financial Aid has contracted with Financial Aid TV to offer step-by-step information about the aid process and tips about financial literacy using more than 1,000 available videos. FATV features a searchable video portal and key videos have been embedded on individual web pages over the summer.

Help us communicate with you by taking our survey

The Office of Financial Aid is surveying students about how our office communicates with you. U-M students participating in the survey will be entered into a drawing for two $25 Amazon gift cards. This survey closes Sept. 21 at 5 p.m.
