Please give us time to process your 2017-18 financial aid documents

The Student Activities Building on the U-M campus

This is a busy season in the U-M Office of Financial Aid, as we accept applications for aid from both entering and continuing students for the 2017-18 academic year. We ask for completed aid applications on or before April 30, including the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (all students) and the PROFILE (entering students).

As part of the process, we sometimes ask students and families for additional documents, such as federal tax return transcripts or other supplemental forms, which are needed to review your financial aid application.

Once you submit these documents, it may take up to 5 business days for receipt of these documents to show up on Wolverine Access in your secure student portal. This includes documents uploaded on email, faxed to our office or delivered in person. We must receive these documents on or before June 1 to consider applicants for U-M gift aid and other available assistance.

If you have sent your documents, please do not send them again, as it will duplicate information coming in for processing. We appreciate your patience as we work to process your financial aid applications and award aid for the 2017-18 academic year and for the 2017 Spring/Summer terms.
