The U-M Student Employment Office website (studentemployment.umich.edu) has been updated this Winter with a fresh new look and better navigation and tools. The site should help employers post and manage jobs and U-M students more easily apply for jobs.
The refreshed site operates in a similar, but more updated, environment thanks to our web partner NextGen Web Solutions, which also developed and operates the JobX student employment tool used to post and manage all student jobs.
As with the previous website, the Home page will have U-M Students, WorkStudy Employers and Non-University Employers menus in the center of the page for familiar access. Drop-down menus at the top of the page take visitors to easy links where students can apply for jobs and employers can find FAQs, important dates and tips and resources.
U-M students are able to apply for multiple jobs in one application, which is a huge benefit over the previous website. Website user guides have also been updated and can be found at a link from the Home page.
The U-M Student Employment Office is a unit of the U-M Office of Financial Aid and assists students with both Work-Study and non-Work-Study employment both on- and off-campus. They also assist employers and offer one-on-one help for units looking to hire students. Visit the website at studentemployment.umich.edu, call them at 734-763-4128 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
