The IRS has taken its Data Retrieval Tool offline, but the Department of Education assures families and students that the FAFSA application remains safe and available online. The U-M Office of Financial Aid recommends that students complete their 2017-18 FAFSAs without delay, manually entering tax return information so that we receive your information by April 30 to consider you for all aid. U-M has begun awarding financial aid to selected entering freshmen for 2017-18. Students who have received estimated or official financial aid awards will receive an email advising them to check Wolverine Access to view, print or download their Award Notice. Read more about the process here.
The U-M Office of Financial Aid is surveying students on the Ann Arbor campus about costs for books, housing and personal expenses to help develop budgets used when awarding financial aid. If you wish, you may also enter for a chance at one of three $50 Amazon gift cards. The survey runs through Jan. 15, 2017.
