The U-M Office of Financial Aid has begun awarding financial aid to entering freshmen for 2016-17. Students with awards should receive an email advising them to check Wolverine Access to view, print or download their Award Notice. Notices are sent on a rolling basis as students complete their aid applications.
In order to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, students now need an Federal Student Aid ID, or FSA ID, made up of a username and password. Students and parents should create their own in order to electronically sign their FAFSAs and other federal financial aid documents.
We encourage all students admitted to U-M for Fall 2016 to apply for financial aid by completing the FAFSA and PROFILE. These allow you to be considered for all aid, including grant assistance. The FAFSA is available on Jan. 1.
