The University of Michigan offers students and families a net price calculator tool, designed to estimate eligibility for financial aid and out-of-pocket expenses for a full-time student. Powered by the College Board, the tool estimates available grants, scholarships and federal loans and Work-Study based on current funding and eligibility criteria.
More information about the cost to attend U-M can be found on our Cost of Attendance page. Students and families may also be interested in viewing our Family Profiles page which has examples of financial aid for a variety of families (your situation may be different).
You may create a College Board account or sign in with an already established one in order to save your information. If you would prefer, you may use the tool as a guest and no information will be saved.
All postsecondary institutions participating in Title IV federal student aid programs are required to post a net price calculator online. This calculator uses institutional data to provide estimated net price information to current and prospective students and their families based on a student’s individual circumstances. It allows students to calculate an estimated net price based on what similar students paid in a previous year. The calculator is required for Title IV institutions enrolling full-time, first-time degree- or certificate-seeking undergraduate students.
