If you have not already completed your 2019-2020 FAFSA and PROFILE (for entering students), applications are available and the U-M financial aid priority deadline is earlier than in previous years.
The new deadline is March 31, 2019 for receiving your FAFSA, PROFILE plus any additional documents needed to review your application for aid including tax transcripts and supplemental forms that our office requests.
We must have all documents in our office on or before March 31 to consider you for all available financial aid. Students submitting documents after this deadline will be considered late applicants.
We suggest that students complete their FAFSAs by March 1, 2019 and send them to U-M Ann Arbor (federal code – 2325) to allow time if additional documents are requested or if there is a problem with the FAFSA and it needs to be corrected. Entering and prospective students should also complete the CSS PROFILE by this date to be considered for grant aid.
The change is being made due to the earlier availability of the FAFSA, which may now be completed each fall starting on October 1. The CSS PROFILE is also available each October 1.
New and prospective students should visit our New Undergraduates page and continuing students our Current Undergraduates page for additional information. Please contact our office if you have questions about this earlier deadline.
