Please give us time to process your 2017-18 financial aid documents

The Student Activities Building on the U-M campus

This is a busy season in the U-M Office of Financial Aid, as we accept applications for aid from both entering and continuing students for the 2017-18 academic year.

Following up on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (all students) and the PROFILE (entering students), we requested that some students and families submit additional documents, such as federal tax return information or other supplemental forms, needed for financial aid application review. On-time forms were due on June 1, 2017, but late applicants may be asked for them over the summer.

Once you submit these documents, it may take up to 5 business days for them to appear on Wolverine Access in your secure student portal. This includes documents faxed or mailed to our office or delivered in person.  Items submitted on or before June 1 will be time-date stamped and will be considered on time, even though it may take several days to appear in Wolverine Access.

If you have sent your documents, please do not send them again, as it will duplicate information coming in for processing. We appreciate your patience as we work to process your financial aid applications and award aid for the 2017-18 academic year and for the 2017 Spring and Summer terms.
