Submitting documents? Please give us time to process them

This is a busy season in the U-M Office of Financial Aid, as we accept applications for aid from both entering and continuing students. We ask for completed aid applications on or before April 30, including the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (all students) and the PROFILE (entering students).

As part of the process, we sometimes ask students and families for additional documents, such as tax returns, which are needed to review your financial aid application.  We must receive these documents on or before June 1 to consider applicants for U-M gift aid and other available assistance.

It may take up to 5 business days for receipt of these documents to show up on Wolverine Access in your secure student portal. This includes documents submitted via email, fax or in person at our office.

We appreciate your patience as we work to process your financial aid applications and award aid for the 2016-17 academic year.
