The November edition of the U-M Office of Financial Aid newsletter offers details about receiving your Winter Term financial aid, as well as changes to how aid will be awarded for 2018 Spring/Summer terms.
The June 1 priority deadline is this week for submitting supplemental, required documents, which we sometimes request in considering students for gift aid. It may take up to 5 business days for your documents to be processed and to show in Wolverine Access, but those meeting the June 1 deadline will be considered on time for aid purposes.
The IRS has taken its Data Retrieval Tool offline, but the Department of Education assures families and students that the FAFSA application remains safe and available online. The U-M Office of Financial Aid recommends that students complete their 2017-18 FAFSAs without delay, manually entering tax return information so that we receive your information by April 30 to consider you for all aid. If you have submitted documents, it may take up to 5 business days for receipt of these documents to show up on Wolverine Access in the student’s secure portal.
