Volumes in our office are high this time of the year, whether students are contacting us by email, phone, fax or in person. If you have submitted documents, it may take up to 5 business days for receipt of these documents to show up on Wolverine Access in the student’s secure portal. We appreciate your patience as we work to award aid for 2017-18 and for the 2017 Spring and Summer terms.
We sometimes request federal tax return transcripts or other documents from students and parents as we consider students for gift aid. You will receive an email from our office if we need these. Log in to Wolverine Access for a list of needed documents and submit them to our office by June 1.
U-M has begun awarding financial aid to selected entering freshmen for 2017-18. Students who have received estimated or official financial aid awards will receive an email advising them to check Wolverine Access to view, print or download their Award Notice. Read more about the process here.
The U-M Office of Financial Aid is surveying students on the Ann Arbor campus about costs for books, housing and personal expenses to help develop budgets used when awarding financial aid. If you wish, you may also enter for a chance at one of three $50 Amazon gift cards. The survey runs through Jan. 15, 2017.
