Children of Veterans Tuition Grant |

- Student must: be a natural or adopted child of a Michigan veteran; be an undergraduate older than 16 and younger than 26 years of age; enroll at least half time; be a Michigan resident for one year prior to program application; and not have a felony conviction involving assault, physical injury, or death
- Veteran must:
- have been killed in action or died from another cause while serving in a war or war condition in which the USA was or is participating; or –
- have died or become totally and permanently disabled as a result of a service-connected illness or injury; or –
- have been totally and permanently disabled as a result of a service connected illness or injury prior to death and has since died; or –
- be listed as MIA (missing in action) in a foreign country

- Up to $1,400 for half-time; $2,100 for three-quarters time; $2,800 for full-time
– OR –
- An amount equal to all of the student’s eligible tuition in that academic year, whichever is less

- Renewable up to four years max., subject to available and approved funding
- Must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.25

Michigan Achievement Scholarship |

- Complete a FAFSA.
- Demonstrate financial need by having a Student Aid Index of $30,000 or less.
- Graduate from high school in Michigan with a diploma, a certificate of completion, or achieved a high school equivalency certificate in 2023 or after.
- Enroll at an eligible institution within 15 months of high school graduation or earning a high school equivalency certificate.
- Be enrolled full-time as determined by the participating institution.
- Be a Michigan resident since July 1 of the previous calendar year.
- If a dependent student, parent must also be a Michigan resident since July 1 of the previous calendar year.

- Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or approved refugee.
- Not be incarcerated.
- Be an undergraduate student.
- Not be in default on a Federal student loan.
- For renewal, meet institution’s Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) policy.

- Up to $5,500 if you attend a Michigan public university or are enrolled in a baccalaureate degree program at a Michigan community college, per year, up to five years

Michigan Competitive Scholarship (MCS) |

- Must meet State of Michigan FAFSA deadline (different than the U-M priority deadline; see the Federal Student Aid website

Michigan National Guard State Tuition Assistance Program |

- Ranges up to $6,000 for the academic year
- You must report this payment to the U-M Office of Financial Aid when you receive it

MI Future Educators Stipend |
- Awarded and funded by the State of Michigan

- Complete the MI Future Educator Stipend application.
- Be admitted into an eligible Educator Preparation Program (EPP).
- Be working towards teacher certification.
- Participate full-time or its equivalent in required student teaching coursework.
- Full-time enrollment in required student teaching coursework.
- Have 300 or more student contact hours while student teaching.
- Not be employed by the district as a teacher of record.
- Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).

- Award amount is up to $9,600 per semester for the applicant’s full time, required student teaching semester.
- Award amount is not to be counted towards regular financial aid eligibility. Institutions are to pay the student teacher the award amount in full.
- Students are limited to one MI Future Educator Stipend, unless their EPP specifically requires they complete more than
- One semester/term of student teaching in order to become a certified teacher.
- MI Future Educator Stipend is available on a first-come first-served basis. Current and future awards are subject to approved and available funding.

MI Future Educators Fellowship |
